Emily’s Personal Values.

Due to her love of aliteration, she wanted to bring the values she holds the most dear to life. By leaning into her creativity, she felt it relevant to create specific names to encompass those values she lives by. For example, rather than naming them “productivity, she decided to name them after architypal woman, among other things, that envelope her values, as you can see below.

  • CTC is a digital marketing growth agency focusing on clients in the e-Commerce/DTC space. I joined the company as hire 47 and helped lead the charge in building out the people + talent functions for scalability and effectiveness, reaching 160 employees and moving from in-office to fully remote across 32+ states. I had the opportunity to launch and expand the HR tech stack with new partnerships, improving the process, workflow, and experience.

    o Led and delivered best-in-class HR/People + Talent functions, including recruiting and retention, performance management/internal review process, onboarding, orientation, offboarding, culture & education, and employee relations.

    o Spearheaded external employer branding initiatives maximizing reach to candidates, creating consistent posting efforts, and establishing CTC as an employer of choice in the market.

    o Built and scaled People & Talent function in a rapidly growing organization and reporting on key metrics.

    o Successfully transitioned to a large group level-funded plan with 0% renewal costs and launching first ever FSA and DCFSA.

    o Scaled from 45 to 160+ employees, upgrading People/HR/Talent policy, processes, resources, and workflows to ensure employees and leadership have what is needed to be set up for success and ensure compliance.

    o Enhanced Performance Improvement Plans and coached leadership team to use as a roadmap for success and tool for career pathing and retention.

    o Launched standardized interview kits tying back to position descriptions, including assessments and values-based scorecards.

    o Drove retention and employee satisfaction with End of Year Employee Total Comp Summaries and moving from accrued PTO policy to unlimited/flexible policy.

    Expanded HR tech stack becoming super user and aiding in remotely scaling organization with implementation of new platforms and strategies including Hibob, ADP Workforce Now, Bennie, Greenhouse Recruiting, LinkedIn Recruiting.

    o Reimagined internal employee communications content across multiple mediums to increase engagement, access to resources, and retention.

    o Drove Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Access best practices across hiring, compensation, onboarding, career pathing and succession planning including creating merit increase/promotion process in Hibob platform.

    o Co-created Rookie Onboarding experience adapting for 100% remote work, scaling to 30+ states, reducing turnover, and retaining talent.

    o Slashed administrative costs by an average of 30% on contracts for new vendors and tech partnerships.

  • A SaaS technology company, leading all-in-one accounting and backend operations software for restaurants. As the first HR hire, I was hired to be the Head of HR and slated to build out the HR function to make it scalable for high-forecasted growth and improve employee engagement and retention. During my tenure, I assisted in growing the company from 70 employees to 325+ across 18+ states, built out the HR team to include three core pillars of support (Talent Acquisition, People Operations, Learning & Development), and implemented strategic HR tech stack to support administration functions and increase employee experience.

    o Achieved organizational growth and hiring needs with 70% growth over last year across multi-state locations.

    o Scaled HR function building out core pillars of People Ops, Talent Acquisition & Learning & Development during rapid growth.

    o Enhanced vendor/broker relationships aiding move from SIMPLE IRA to 401K plan, ESOP, and large group benefits.
